Product Description

The 3-Hour Intensive Property Audit, Scientific Certainty for Complex Landscapes

When planning high-capacity dams, major swale systems, or primary access roads, visual checks alone aren’t enough. Guessing spillway levels or compaction needs can result in dam wall blowouts, severe topsoil erosion, and thousands of dollars in emergency repairs.

During this 3-Hour Engineering Audit, we conduct a deep-dive evaluation of your landscape’s physics, soil mechanics, and catchment hydrology. We analyze how water behaves across your property under extreme weather conditions to ensure your proposed earthworks are structurally sound, ecologically functional, and legally compliant.

What Is Covered During the Audit?

  1. Comprehensive Catchment & Slope Analysis: In-depth ground-truthing of contour dynamics, soil permeability, and macro-catchment water behavior feeding your land.

  2. Dam Sizing & Spillway Calculations: Precise site placement, wall height parameters, and spillway dimensions engineered to safely handle high-volume storm events.

  3. Erosion & Landslip Remediation: Technical strategies to arrest active gully erosion, stabilize steep banks, and remediate failing earthworks structures.

  4. Machinery & Infrastructure Routing: Precise alignment mapping for high-capacity diversion channels, keyline plowing, culverts, and heavy equipment access roads.

Deliverables & Next Steps

  • On-Site Technical Brief: Clear, engineered parameters and dimensions ready to hand directly to your heavy earthworks contractor.

  • Risk & Mitigation Roadmap: Identification of flood hazards, property boundary risks, and site stability bottlenecks.

  • Masterplan Transition: Clear direction on whether your project is ready for digging or requires a formal 1-in-100yr civil engineering masterplan.

Location & Travel

On-site engineering audits are regularly conducted across South East Queensland (Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Gympie, Gold Coast, and surrounding regions). Properties located beyond 100km from our Brisbane/Conondale radius will have a standard travel fee dynamically quoted in the cart upon entering your address.

When a quick walkaround isn’t enough, but you don’t quite need a full 8-hour day, the Half-Day Intensive is the perfect middle ground.

As a Master of Environmental Engineering and an expert earthworks operator, I use this time to ensure your ideas for dams, swales, or food forests are actually supported by the physical reality of your landscape. We won’t just talk about where to put a garden; we will calculate what is physically and financially possible with heavy machinery on your specific terrain.

How the Booking Works:

  1. Secure Your Audit: Complete your checkout. If your property is outside my immediate local radius (100km from my base in QLD), a standard travel fee will be dynamically calculated in your cart when you enter your address.

  2. Scheduling: We will contact you within 24 hours to lock in a date for the site visit and send a brief questionnaire so we know your exact goals before we arrive.

  3. The Walk and Talk: We spend the first portion of the consult physically walking the land, identifying microclimates, and assessing risks.

  4. The Strategy: The final portion is dedicated to mapping solutions (if needed) and answering your specific questions.

What do I need to prepare before the engineer arrives?2026-08-06T15:57:51+10:00

Complete our discovery form and provide any existing boundary maps, contour data, or specific earthworks goals so satellite data can be reviewed prior to arriving on site.

Can I use this audit for a pre-purchase property evaluation?2026-08-06T15:57:10+10:00

Yes. It is an ideal way for buyers to identify hidden flood hazards, landslip risks, poor drainage, or unviable building pads before finalizing a contract on a property.

How does the 3-Hour Engineering Audit differ from the 2-Hour Feasibility Walk?2026-08-06T15:56:30+10:00

The 2-hour walk is a rapid visual assessment. The 3-Hour Engineering Audit is an intensive technical evaluation designed for complex sites, severe erosion issues, steep topography, or major dam and earthworks engineering.

Does this fee count toward a full Masterplan Design or Earthworks Construction?2026-08-05T12:19:07+10:00

Yes. If you decide to proceed with a complete Permaculture Masterplan Design or hire us to execute your physical earthworks within 30 days of the audit, the fee for this consultation is fully credited toward your project cost (for physical earthworks 5 days or more).
